The Paparella's Otopathology Laboratory has recently re-opened after the worst phase of COVID-19. Our otopathology laboratory has one of the three largest collections of human temporal bones in the world.

The otopathology laboratory was founded in the decade of 1960. Since its inception, the laboratory has been active and prolific in producing hundreds of groundbreaking scientific papers. The majority of these papers have been done with the collaboration of international fellows, who come from all over the world to study our temporal bone collection. Most of our past fellows have returner later to their home country, where they became professors at the most important universities of the world.

The research fellowship program of the Paparella's Otopathology Laboratory is now open for applications. The usual duration of the fellowship is one year, which can be extended or reduced to fit the needs of the applicants.

Recently, the International Hearing Foundation, an institution who is a long-term partner of the laboratory, has announced two travel scholarships of $10,000 to support the travel and housing costs of the applicants. Please refer to the application topic below.
